Sprite Stitch

Disclaimer: I know NOTHING about gaming. To me online games are digital evolutions of word games: Boggle, Scrabble, etc. My video game skills will not see me advance beyond the first screen of Ms PacMan. Confronted with an arcade, I head straight to air hockey. I have never Wii’d or Guitar Heroe’d or Rock Star’d.

That does not mean, however, I cannot appreciate some of the amazing work over at Sprite Stitch. Originally started as a site to share cross stitch patterns of video game characters, Sprite Stitch has evolved into a gallery of craft techniques with gaming motifs. This includes, knitting, quilting, felting, painting, silk screen, cake decorating and more.

Member Servotron’s cross stitch Zelda map (18 count aida, 14.6 in x 12.8 in), completed in 4 months.

Member Domingo created this on 22 count aida with 90 different colors, it as roughly 10 in x10 in.

How do you have time  to do both needlework and gaming?
